I did not get my sign-in code
Codes arrive by email and are valid for 10 minutes. Check your spam folder, and make sure you are using the same address you signed up with. You can request a new code after two minutes; requesting one replaces the previous code.
How does a child join without an email address?
A parent adds them from the Family tab, which creates a profile with no email address and shows a one-time code. Enter that code on the child’s device to sign them in. Codes last 15 minutes and work once — if one runs out, create another.
Who can see what in my family?
Parents can manage members, invites and the subscription. Members can add to shared lists and edit what they added. Children can view the calendar and vault, complete chores and redeem rewards, but cannot change other people’s entries or remove anything.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are cancelled in your App Store settings rather than in the app: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Premium until the period you have paid for ends.
How do I delete my account?
Open the Family tab and choose Delete Account. It tells you what will happen first — whether a family will be deleted, and who becomes its owner if you are leaving one behind — and asks you to confirm. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that separately.
Is the family vault really encrypted?
Yes. Vault entries are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored, and each family’s data is encrypted with a key derived for that family, so an entry cannot be read outside it. Photos are stored separately and are only reachable through short-lived signed links.
Is FamilyOS on Android?
Not yet. It is built to run on both, and Android will follow — but it is not released, so there is nothing to download there today.
